AKHA 2019: BARR OTOBONG BOB MEETS HIS COMMUNITY  *sue for peace and unity 

Otobong Effiong Bob, Esq. today Wednesday July 4, 2018 declared his intention to seek election into the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly to represent Nsit Ubium State Constituency come 2019 to youths of Ikot Ekwere Ubium in Nsit Ubium LGA.

The House of Assembly hopeful used the opportunity to inform them of how he came to be an aspirant. He pointed out that the leaders of Ubium North had approached his father, Senator Effiong Bob and appealed to him to let him (Otobong) aspire. When the father finally gave in to their request, he himself was convinced that he has the capacity and capability of fitting into that shoe.

A lawyer by profession with sound and quality education, far beyond the school certificate level and with the interest of the people of Nsit Ubium at heart, he decided that he was sufficiently qualified for the job of a legislator.

Otobong Effiong Bob, Esq. said that he was taken aback when the same people who pressured his father to let him run are the people who are now opposing him. He called on the young men and women of Ikot Ekwere, Ubium North and Nsit Ubium as a whole to ensure that they get their voters card so that they could put a stop to the politics of deceit and betrayal by voting him into the State House of Assembly and Mr. Udom Emmanuel as governor of Akwa Ibom State.

Present at the occasion were Senator Effiong Bob, FCIArb, the village head of Ikot Ekwere, the Obong Mkparawa 1 of Ikot Ekwere, the PDP Ward Chairman of Ubium North Ward 3, Mr Sunday Bob and the Secretary, Akwa Ibom State Technical Committee on Foreign Direct Investment, Barr. Victor Bob.

Others included youth leaders from other villages in Ubium North and youth representatives from the Nsit axis of the local government area.

High point of the ceremony was the presentation of a campaign billboard by the Youth Council of Ikot Ekwere to be mounted in the area.
